Notes
Attendance and participation. Students are expected to read the material assigned and discuss specific notes of their choosing in class. Some questions and prompts for in-class discussion will be provided beforehand.
Term paper. Students are expected to write a term paper on a topic agreed-upon with the teacher and discussed in class during the “Term paper preparatory sessions” indicated in the syllabus. The approximate length of the paper is: 8-10 pages for undergraduate students; 10-20 pages for graduate students. Term papers should be submitted via email at dainotto@duke.edu on the date indicated in the syllabus.
