Meet the Research Team
The Ready, Set, Resilience program partners with Dr. Kathryn Stevenson’s Lab at NC State University, which studies both how nature can be good for youth, and how youth can be good for the environment. With this project, they are interested in understanding the various benefits Ready, Set, Resilience brings to students, teachers, and communities. For example, teachers with this project report high levels of connection with their colleagues and students, as well as a real sense of empowerment, professional respect, and motivation for creativity. Students also feel empowered and motivated as they connect with one another and the communities. And parents and other adults are seeing students as having important contributions to offer as communities work toward resilience. Read more in this recent article.
