Hi! I’m Sindura, and I’m a freshman (Class of 2029) majoring in Biology and Global Health. I joined Help Desk because I’m interested in the ways everyday factors like transportation, housing, and access to resources affect people’s health. I wanted to get involved in something that connects healthcare with the community and helps patients overcome those kinds of barriers.
I’m looking forward to learning from patients and volunteers, gaining a better understanding of Durham, and being part of work that helps improve people’s care. Outside of school, I enjoy playing or singing music, dancing, and hanging out with friends. In the future, I hope to work in medicine and combine clinical care with research and community health work.
