Hi! My name is Mei-Mei Hu, and I’m a sophomore at Duke University majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Medical Sociology. I joined Help Desk due to my passion for bridging healthcare and community support, especially in helping patients navigate social resources grounded in empathy and respect. Through this experience, I hope to strengthen my communication skills and gain a deeper understanding of how social determinants of health affect patient well-being. Outside of volunteering, I love playing piano, exploring local cafés, and watching shows/anime. In the future, I hope to pursue a career in medicine that combines clinical care with community-based research and advocacy.
