Hey! I’m Abhay Cheruku. I’m from Clinton, Mississippi, and I’m in the Class of 2026. I’m going to major in Biology and minor in Chemistry. Being an emergency room patient can be a confusing time, especially if they are struggling with issues that aren’t just medical-related. I want to be part of an effort that ensures that after a patient’s health needs are met, they have the means necessary to improve their quality of life. Through this experience, I hope I can connect with the community in Durham in a meaningful way! Some hobbies I enjoy include weightlifting, football, drumming, and hanging out with friends. In the future, I plan on going to medical school and becoming a cardiothoracic surgeon.
