Katherine Wang
Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, Minors in Chemistry & Linguistics
Class of 2023
Katherine is a junior from New York City majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Chemistry and Linguistics. She joined Help Desk in hopes to gain a more holistic understanding of health and healthcare through the lens of real patients and local communities —in addition to what is taught in the classroom. She also looks forward to learning more about the Durham community, the resources and opportunities it offers, and the people who make it all happen. Outside of coursework, she is a part of both the Feng Lab and the Levin Lab, studying the effects of PFAS on maternal and fetal health with an emphasis on fetal brain development. She is also a member of the Language, Music, and Dementia Bass Connections team and Duke’s Club Figure Skating. After graduation, she hopes to continue with her research and eventually enter medical school to pursue a career as a physician.
