HARRISON PRATT

LCHC Site Coordinator, Biology (B.S.), Class of 2027

I am a third-year student studying Biology in the pursuit of a career in medicine. I am immensely grateful to have had the opportunity to volunteer through Help Desk for the last year. The longitudinal relationships developed with patients while addressing unmet social needs, an essential factor in health outcome determinations, have provided eye-opening and rewarding experiences in supporting patients in our community amidst times of hardship. My work as a Community Resource Navigator for Lincoln has allowed me to develop clinical skills in conversing with patients in a supporting and motivating manner while possessing the requisite knowledge to address their needs. The work I have done as a volunteer for Help Desk enables me to serve others now while simultaneously helping me to develop many skills requisite to become an impactful physician. As Lincoln Site Coordinator, I am excited to assist our Community Resource Navigators in developing the skills necessary to most effectively address patient needs. I am also looking forward to working on projects to streamline and update all of our available resource data to ensure patients receive information on the most currently relevant resources. Help Desk is truly a fantastic community, and I look forward to helping serve as a role model and leader for our wonderful volunteers.
