Program Coordinator 2020-2022, Neuroscience (B.S.), Class of 2022
As I diligently work my way through my science courses inside the classroom, I equally value understanding personal narratives outside of it. I hope to use my passion for helping others, especially those in vulnerable populations, to expand my appreciation for the resilience of human beings and learn how to more authentically connect with people and understand their often unspoken battles. My goal is to one day, as a physician, use these skills to compassionately treat all aspects of my patients’ healthcare needs and empower them to overcome their struggles. I am excited to support patients in their healthcare journeys as I work with Help Desk and hopefully develop some of these skills. Along the way I hope to also get a better understanding of social inequalities so that I may learn how else to serve my Durham community in the future.
