As the Recruitment and Training Chair for Duke Help Desk, I am dedicated to bridging the gap between direct healthcare and social support for patients. With a strong background in Biology and Global Health, I have a deep understanding of the social determinants of health and their impact on patient outcomes. I initially joined Help Desk in my freshman year to make meaningful contributions to the new community that I call home through applied-patient experiences – I am excited to continue doing so by recruiting and educating others about the importance of the social determinants of health and fostering a robust workforce capable of addressing these critical issues.
