Sebastian Goette is a full professor for mathematics at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität at Freiburg. He graduated at Freiburg in 1997. From 1998 to 1999 he was postdoc fellow at the Universit́e Paris-Sud at Orsay, and 1999 he became assistant at Tübingen. He was appointed professor at Regensburg in 2003 before he came to Freiburg in 2006.
Goette specialises in secondary analytic invariants and their applications to classification problems in differential geometry and topology, including the comparison of special holonomy manifolds constructed by various different approaches.
