Lihua Ye, a postdoctoral fellow dually mentored by John Rawls and Rodger Liddle, used in vivo imaging in zebrafish to discover a new molecular pathway by which enteroendocrine cells regulate enteric and vagal neuronal pathways in response to microbial signals. This paper was published in Cell Host & Microbe and was featured in a Preview article in the same issue.
