Ken Gold, PT is a senior physical therapist at Duke University Hospital. He received his physical therapy degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1995. He has been at Duke since 2001 and is the team lead in the thoracic ICU and step-down ward.  Other areas of interest include ECMO and early mobility. Ken was on the Duke team that first began ambulating patients on ECMO in 2009 and since has presented nationally on ambulatory ECMO. He is the mentor for the cardio-thoracic rotation of Duke’s Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Residency and has mentored more than 15 residents since the program’s inception.
