Kathryn Howington

Kathryn Howington, PT, DPT, GCS, NCS, is a Senior Level II physical therapist at Duke University Hospital. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from East Carolina University in 2015 and is a dual board-certified clinical specialist in Geriatric and Neurologic Physical Therapy. Kathryn has been working as a Physical Therapist at Duke in acute care since 2015 and currently works as a primary physical therapist in the neurologic intensive care unit and neurologic step-down unit within the Duke Central Tower. Kathryn has been a part of multiple hospital wide performance improvement committees, including Early Mobility within the neuro ICU. Kathryn has been a clinical educator for numerous DPT students and is the mentor for the neuro-oncology portion of the inpatient Oncology Residency, Neurology Residency, and neurology portion of the Acute Care Residency. She has clinical interests in stroke, brain injury, neuro-oncology and spinal cord injury.
