Janna Pogers PT, MPT is a board-certified neurologic clinical specialist at the Duke Rehabilitation Institute (DRI) at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham NC where she has worked as a senior physical therapist since 2009. In 2017 she became a Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist (CSRS) to support her passion in working with patients who have survived a stroke and aiding in their journey to independence while maximizing their quality of life. She has worked with the North Carolina Institute of Medicine and Surviving Sepsis Campaign as a patient advocate for various task forces focused on creating guidelines for serious illness. Additionally, she actively participates in research related to transcranial stimulation and ischemic stroke recovery and frequently works as a teaching assistant at the Duke Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
