Hannah McHugh, PT, DPT, is a senior level II physical therapist at Duke University Hospital. Hannah received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Elon University in 2017 and is a graduate of the Duke Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy Residency. She is a board-certified clinical specialist in cardiovascular and pulmonary physical therapy. Hannah is adjunct faculty at Elon University and Methodist University, a guest lecturer at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a teaching assistant at Duke University. She enjoys helping students bridge the gap between classroom and clinic. Hannah has presented at local and national conferences, co-authored a textbook chapter on cardiac muscle dysfunction, has multiple publications and is the Chair of the Nominating Committee for the APTA Academy of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy. Hannah is also currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Physiotherapy at Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium. She is the mentor for the inpatient cardiology and heart failure sections of Duke’s Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Residency.
