Dana Lott, PT, DPT is a board certified neurological clinical specialist at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC where she has worked as a senior physical therapist since 2016. After she completed her neurological residency at NYU Langone in Manhattan in 2015, she moved to North Carolina where she began Duke’s Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency program. Her passion for residency education and community continues as she serves as Chair for the Academy of Neurological Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Special Interest Group. Her clinical experience is in the acute care setting, primarily on the neuro ICU floors. This is a rotation that is unique to Duke’s residency program, allowing residents to be involved immediately in the care of neurologically impaired patients with ongoing medical complexities. Additionally, she is currently participating in an NIH-grant funded study looking at epidural conus medullaris stimulation to alleviate pain and augment rehabilitation in patients with subacute thoracic SCI.
