Marrion Martinez, PT, DPT, GCS, is a senior physical therapist in the Adult Inpatient Division at Duke University Hospital. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Duke University and is a board certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association. Dr. Martinez is the mentor for the acute care total joint module of Duke’s Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency. She also mentors new colleagues through onboarding, fostering their clinical development and successful transition into practice. She serves as a teaching assistant for Duke University’s DPT Program and is a clinical instructor for DPT students. Her clinical practice spans settings from the emergency department to the intensive care unit, caring for patients across subspecialties that include orthopedics, trauma, neurology, cardiopulmonary, oncology, and general medicine.
