2021 has presented a number of challenges for the Program/Project Management Community as a result of the Coronavirus Pandemic. Over the past year, the Duke PMCoP has spearheaded a number of initiatives to help Program Management professionals navigate these challenges, emphasize the importance of the role Program Managers play, and stay connected with one another through a series of incredible programming and network events. Chris will present a recap of the high level achievements from the PMCoP for 2021 and introduce the team leading the way in 2022.
About the Speaker:
Chris Todd is the Director of Program Management at the Duke Human Vaccine Institute and the current Chair for the Duke Project Management Community of Practice. Chris graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BS in Biology and a Masters of Public Health. Chris has been at Duke University for over 15 years where his career has spanned work in HIV Neutralizing Antibody Laboratories, Quality Assurance for HIV Clinical Trial Endpoint Assays, and Program Management for the DHVI. During his time in Program Management, Chris has managed numerous large contracts for both the Division of AIDS and the Division of Microbiology and Infectious Disease (DMID). These contracts spanned the full translational pipeline focusing on vaccine and immunogen design, vaccine manufacturing, and first-in-human Phase 1 clinical trials. Throughout his time at DHVI, Chris has been a strong advocate for Program Management and the critical role that it plays in successful large-scale scientific research.
