NCPMI EVENT | PMO CoP: Facilitating Meetings People Want to Attend

April 20, 2022

This is a Project Management Institute (PMI) North Carolina Chapter event that may be of interest to the Duke Community.

Abstract: "Meetings are the bane of everyone’s work existence and are expensive. Rabbit holes, compulsive contributors dominating, unprepared attendees, uninvolved participants, forgotten or rehashed decisions. It can be a wasted investment. A PMO can play an important role in federating good meeting practices to the organization in a way that makes them more interesting and more productive for your attendees, with decisions that stick. There are some very simple practices that can turn even status meetings into something people enjoy.

Join us to better understand how to facilitate a meeting people will love by learning how to:

  • Articulate strong meeting purpose
  • Facilitate meetings with a question agenda
  • Facilitate divergence and convergence to make better decisions
  • Quickly measure participants sentiment"
  • Speaker: Stephanie Sackman, Senior Program and Enablement Manager
