Duke University is a world renowned research institution with 2 recent Nobel prize laureates. Currently, we are looking for a Medical Data Manager to work in the newly formed Duke Center for Artificial Intelligence in Radiology.
Qualifications:
The candidate for this position will be a highly motivated individual with at least a B.S. or a B.A. degree. Required qualifications include (1) strong skill in MS Excel, (2) excellent verbal and written communication skills, (3) experience of professional work as a part of a team, (4) knowledge of basic concepts in statistics such as mean and standard deviation. The following are a plus: (1) experience in working with medical data, (2) moderate or advance skills in statistics, (3) computer programming (preferably Python).
Job description:
The Medical Data Manager will be responsible for management of medical datasets. He/she will work in association with the newly formed Duke Center for Artificial Intelligence in Radiology in a thriving research and clinical environment where he/she will be able to interact with researchers as well as clinicians. The responsibilities will include management of regulatory protocols (IRB), acquisition of medical imaging and other data from medical records at Duke University Medical Center, reviewing the data in order to identify patients of interest, organization of the data in folders as well as on spreadsheets, summarizing data characteristics, management of access to the data across different team members, and data sharing. The person in this role will interact with the co-directors of the center as well as with clinical and research faculty, postdoctoral associates, graduate students, and administrative staff.
