HOW TO FIND US
The lab is located on the 1st floor of the Clinical and Research Laboratory (CARL) building on Duke’s School of Medicine campus behind Duke Hospitals. The building can be accessed on the second floor from the covered walkway (see Visitor Parking) and the Duke University Hospitals.
From Inside Duke Hospitals:
From the ground floor of Duke North, near the atrium cafeteria, take the long hallway towards the Department of Medicine Offices. Pass these offices to your left and enter CARL Building (second floor). At the elevator bay, take the stairs to your left down to the first floor.
Once on the first floor of CARL, walk straight through the glass double doors (these are keycard access only after 6PM and on weekends), and walk straight until reaching the breakroom. Turn right and walk through the wooden double doors into the open lab space (CARL 150). To find Dr. Landstrom’s office, make a left turn as soon as you enter the lab space and CARL 148B is to your left in an alcove of two offices. To find the lab, walk through the lab space until you reach Bays 32-33.
From Visitor Parking:
If you do not have a parking pass, we recommend you park in the Research Drive Garage which is adjacent to the Duke Eye Center.

Use the parking garage entrance for visitors/patients in the Eye Center traffic circle. The entrance on Research Drive requires a permit and cannot be accessed by visitors. Once in the parking deck, take the elevator to the ground floor of the parking deck, cross Sands Parking Dr, and take the covered walkway to CARL Building. Follow the signs posted on this walkway and go “towards the hospital”. The first building you enter is the CARL building second floor. Walk straight through the building until you reach the second floor elevator bay, take the stairs down to the first floor.

Turn right and walk through the door into the open lab space (CARL 150).
