What is this job?

You will be responsible for using our in-house antibody libraries to rapidly generate diverse binders to a variety of antigens. You will re-invent and optimize established display and screening protocols to improve speed, throughput, and reliability. In addition, you will help automate and scale optimized protocols to conduct hundreds of simultaneous screening experiments. This is a unique position for someone with experience in display technologies who is excited to innovate and push the limits of screening speed and scalability. Even if you don’t check every box, but are excited about our mission, please apply!

Who are you?

You have a Ph.D. or equivalent accomplishments in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or a related field (2+ years of industry experience in antibody/peptide screening is preferred)

You have a strong track record of designing, implementing, and optimizing screening campaigns using an antibody or peptide display technology (e.g. phage, yeast, bacterial, ribosome or DNA display)

You are comfortable with downstream processing and analysis of screening data (fluency in Python is preferred)

You are excited to innovate to overcome the limitations of established display methods

You are trustworthy, passionate, kind, and extremely hardworking

What will you do?

Plan, develop, and optimize novel, high-throughput assays for protein characterization

Screen Telis antibody libraries against diverse antigens

Critically rethink and optimize every step of the screening process—from library construction to hit identification—with an eye towards unprecedented speed to binder generation

Work with the Automation team to automate and scale up optimized display protocols

Work with the Bioinformatics team to build a deep understanding of screening dynamics through NGS analysis

Meticulously execute experiments, document laboratory procedures, and analyze, present, and interpret data
