The Duke SACNAS Executive Board for the 2019-20 year has been elected! The elected board members are:

Graduate liaison: Abraham Nguyen

Director of Social Media & Marketing: Delisa Clay

Treasurer: Gilberto Padilla

Secretary: Blanca Rodriguez

Vice President: Martin Requena

President: Armando Corona

A huge thank you to past executive board members for their passion for the group and making the 2018-19 year a success!

We are also ecstatic to announce our newest SACNAS Chapter co-advisor: Dr. Raphael Valdivia!

Dr. Valdivia is a native of Peru and a Professor of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology running an internationally recognized research program on host-microbe interactions. Dr. Valdivia is finishing his term as Vice Dean for Basic Science, where he had oversight of biomedical graduate eduction & core facilities and provided overall support for all science programs. As he returns to the regular ranks of the faculty, he is looking forward to working with Duke SACNAS as a faculty co-advisor alongside Dr. Sherilynn Black.

The Duke SACNAS executive board is excited to announce that we are seeking nominations to fill our Chair positions for our newly finalized Duke SACNAS Committees.
