Our Mission

Duke PAWS (Promoting Animal Welfare through Service) is a Duke student community service group organized to promote the health and well being of the companion animal population, educate the public on the importance of responsible pet care, and support local animal shelters and rescue organizations in the Triangle area. This work is achieved through coordinated events held throughout the semester including Service Days, individual volunteer opportunities, fundraisers, DIY chew-toy and homemade dog treat making, and animal therapy opportunities. Our organization is open to both undergraduate and graduate students.
