Jane Kim, MD, MPH, is newly appointed as the Chief Consultant for Preventive Medicine in the Office of Patient Care Services for the Veterans Health Administration (VHA).
Dr. Kim is an Assistant Professor in the Duke University Department of Medicine and has taught medical residents and students in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. She recently served as the Acting Chief Consultant for Preventive Medicine from November 2015-August 2016. In her role as Acting Chief Consultant, she advised senior Veterans Affairs leadership on evidence-based population approaches to implementing preventive medicine services and the development of VHA prevention policy. Dr. Kim continues to practice primary care as a part-time provider at the Durham VAMC.
