This page contains instructions for updating Scholars@Duke and DukeMedicine.org.
Scholars@Duke
Scholars@Duke presents the academic scholarship of our faculty. This is valuable because it is Duke’s public display of our academic profiles and a remarkable means for others, both within and outside of Duke, to connect in a era where collaboration matters.
To update your own profile, visit http://scholars.duke.edu.
Search “People” for your name.
Click “Manage This Profile” to make edits. We recommend:
- A few sentences describing your academic presence
- Update of other content, if needed
- Upload with a recent photo (within the past three years), if not there already
You may want also to see interesting analytics of your academic publications via http://elements.duke.edu such as mentions on Twitter, readers on Mendeley or CiteULike, journal rankings and your paper’s citations, even export your list by PDF including DOI links.
DukeMedicine.org Profile
Our clinicians have a profile displayed within the website DukeMedicine.org. Here is guidance provided by Duke Medicine Office of Marketing & Communications for updating your personal profile.
Updating your current DukeMedicine.org profile
Please take this opportunity to improve the quality and accuracy of the information prospective patients and their loved ones, as well as referring physicians, use to pick a Duke Medicine doctor. To update that information and add a personal statement to appear on DukeMedicine.org, first connect to the Duke Medicine computer network and then go to the DukeMedicine.org Profile Update Site.
Then:
- Enter your last name in the search box and click “Search.”
- Click on your name, to go to your update form.
- To edit the form, click the “Edit Item” button.
- Make your changes, including provision of a quick, 150-word personal bio statement to introduce yourself to prospective patients
- When you are finished, click the button at the bottom to submit.
If your name does not appear when you search, you must go to the Provider Profile Form, fill it out, and then click “submit.” Or, paste into your browser: https://intranet.dm.duke.edu/ent/newscomm/SitePages/Marketing/New%20Provider%20Profile%20Form.aspx
Note: Both these forms are on a secure, Duke intranet site. You must be connected to the Duke network, and you will be asked for your DHE or NetID username and password.
The administrative office receives your information after submission. This information is edited and reviewed before publishing to DukeMedicine.org.
