Katrina Bernaus MEM, Coastal Environmental Management

Katrina is a first year Master of Environmental Management student specializing in coastal environmental management. After completing her Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Conservation at the University of British Columbia, she spent time working in adventure tourism and commercial fishing monitoring on the west coast of Canada. She is interested in small-scale fisheries management, studying fisheries in reef habitats and data poor regions, and linking equitable policy design to the ecological sustainability of fisheries management policy. In particular, she is interested in the effects of gender-inclusive policy on socio-ecological outcomes.
