Jessica Citrola

Jessica is a first year Master of Environmental Management student at Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment and is concentrating in Ecosystem Science and Conservation. She graduated from North Carolina State University in 2017 with a B.S. in Environmental Sciences. Prior to coming to Duke, Jessica was an environmental specialist at the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), where she assisted DEQ staff in developing rules to establish one of the country’s first regulatory programs for the management of end-of-life renewable energy equipment. She is looking to transition her previous policy, research, and educational experiences to the conservation field through the MEM program. Jessica is particularly interested in tropical ecosystems and has had a lifelong passion for coral reef conservation.
