Who serves on the Ruth K. Broad Board of Directors?

The board of directors of the Foundation is made up of Broad family members, physicians and scientists, and Duke advisors. 

When is the deadline for application?

Deadlines for applications are typically in February of each year. Visit the link below for information about which grants will be awarded in a given cycle.

When will I be notified of the award committee’s selection for each award?

Notification is made in April or early May.

When are grant payments made?

Grant payments are made twice per year.  The first payment is made in July and the second payment is made in January.

Application Deadlines

In the 2024-2025 fiscal year, RFAs will be accepted for the Broad Research Award for Graduate Students, Fellowship Award for Postdoctoral Fellows, Human Brain Models Research Award at Duke, and the Ruth K. Broad Biomedical Research Foundation Extramural Grant. Applications will go live in October 2024 and are due by midnight February 1, 2025.
