Collaborative Research Grant

Applications are not currently being accepted for this award.

Collaborative research grants are awarded to researchers at Duke and a second academic institution, to address the Foundation’s goals of advancing the understanding of Alzheimer’s and related central nervous system diseases, and exploring new and effective treatments.  Promising studies that are premature to qualify for conventional NIH funding are specifically encouraged.

Investigators should be in the tenure track and may be either early career (typically at the assistant professor level) or established investigators (at the associate professor level and above).

Duke investigators applying for the award will be responsible for sharing the RFP with extramural collaborators and for coordinating the submission of the application materials from both institutions.

Application Deadlines

In the 2025-26 fiscal year, RFAs will be accepted for the Broad Research Award for Graduate Students, Fellowship Award for Postdoctoral Fellows, and Human Brain Models Research Award at Duke. Applications will go live in October 2025 and are due by midnight February 1, 2026
