ConnectWise, the vendor that provides ScreenConnect remote support software, has announced an critical Security Update for on prem installations of ScreenConnect server.

OIT instances have been patched already.

For departments who are running their own ScreenConnect server instance we strongly recommend upgrading to version 25.8 as soon as possible.

As of November 3, 2025, Duke University will transition Wolfram (Mathematica) product access to Single Sign-On (SSO). After this date, all users will log in using their Duke SSO credentials.

Please note there may be brief downtime during the transition, and new users may experience temporary access issues.

What to Expect:

• New users will be redirected to Duke’s Single Sign-On (SSO) when creating their Wolfram account.
• Existing users will be prompted to link their Wolfram account to Duke SSO during their next upgrade or license renewal.
• No action is required until that time.

The SAS software license has been renewed. Renewal licenses for SAS 9.4 and SAS 9.3 are now available for download, and all installation options have been updated to reflect the latest version.

SAS 9.4 M9 is now available (SAS 9.4 TS1M9, Rev. 940_25w25).

The new licenses will extend the expiration date of the software to June 30, 2026.

The JMP Academic Program previously provided by our vendor has been discontinued. In its place, Duke University now supports the JMP Student Edition, which offers the same features and functionality as the JMP Pro academic license that was previously in use.

Key Information:

• JMP Student Edition is available at no cost for faculty, students, and academic researchers.
• It can be installed on personal computers as well as lab and classroom machines.
• This version is a direct replacement for the JMP Pro academic license, supporting all the same academic use cases.
• Renewal files are no longer available through Duke OIT.

We have renewed Duke’s annual Stata/SE license for the year, and the new authorization codes and installers are now available for purchase on the software distribution site.

If you purchased a Stata/SE license within 3 months of the expiration date, then your purchase includes a renewal license that may be used to extend the expiration date of your software until July 23, 2026. Renewal authorization codes/installers will be emailed to anyone who purchased Stata/SE within this grace period.

ConnectWise, the provider of ScreenConnect remote support software, has announced an upcoming update for on-premises installations of the ScreenConnect server. This update includes:

• Digital signing Certificate updates
• Digital certificate rotation scheduled for June 13, 2025
• Release of update to improve how configuration data is managed within the platform

Departments who are running their own ScreenConnect server instance are strongly recommended to upgrade.

For departments who are running their own ScreenConnect server instance we strongly recommend upgrading to the most current release of 25.2.4 as soon as possible.

To upgrade to version 25.2.4, please note there is a specific upgrade path that must be followed:

22.8 → 23.3 → 25.2.4
