This is a reminder that all Faculty/Staff Acrobat Pro DC and Creative Cloud licenses purchased before July 7th, 2020 will expire on October 7th, 2020, and must be renewed to continue using the software.
Student Creative Cloud licenses do not need to be renewed and no action is necessary for those accounts.
Licenses purchased after July 7th, 2020 will be automatically renewed without charge for the coming year.
Renewing an Adobe account is the same process as purchasing a new one. This is accomplished by going to https://software.duke.edu and reordering the software. We accept either credit card payments or fund codes through our website.
If you are renewing the software for another user (or multiple users), please include their netID(s) in the “Order Instructions” section of the checkout page on https://software.duke.edu. When placing an order for multiple users, you will need to change the quantity to the number of licenses required by clicking on the cart icon in the upper right hand corner of the software site.
Please note: Notification will only be sent to the customer who places the order, via Service Now. If you are placing an order for another user or multiple users, it will be necessary for you to forward the instructions to the intended recipients.
Important note for renewal customers:
After 10/7/2020, when the previous year’s license expires, users will need to re-authenticate by opening Acrobat and signing out and then back in using the enterprise ID instructions you used to initially activate. For Creative Cloud, you will need to sign out and back in again through one of the Creative Cloud applications. This is performed through the help menu, and is a normal part of the renewal process.

Note regarding IT purchase approvals: Per the recent direction regarding approvals for IT spending at Duke, software purchases made from https://software.duke.edu do not require central approval. However, established department-level purchasing guidelines should be followed at all times.
