  • Dr. Jamie Privratsky is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Department of Pharmacology and Cancer Biology at Duke University Medical Center. He obtained his MD (2012) and PhD (2010) through the Medical Scientist Training Program at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI. He then joined the Academic Career Enrichment Scholars (ACES) academic residency track in the Department of Anesthesiology at Duke University where he completed both an anesthesiology residency and a critical care fellowship. Dr. Privratsky joined the faculty at Duke in 2017. He practices as an anesthesiologist and intensive care physician scientist. Dr. Privratsky’s research interests involve investigating strategies to treat postoperative and critical illness acute kidney injury (AKI) and prevent its transition to chronic kidney disease.

 

  • Dr. Yanting Chen is a Postdoctoral Associate within the Department of Anesthesiology at Duke University. She obtained her PhD (2021) degree in pharmacology at Sun Yat-Sen University. Yanting Chen worked in Dr. Tianxin Yang’s lab at the University of Utah School of Medicine (2019-2021). And then she joined Dr. Jamie Privratsky’s lab at Duke University. Her research study is on factors in immune cells are critically important for acute kidney injury and trying to define the molecular mechanisms to contribute to new therapy targets for kidney disease.

 

  • Dr. Chia-Chun Wu is a visiting scholar from Taiwan and a nephrologist in the Department of Nephrology at Chi-Mei Medical Center. Previously, she served as an associate professor at Chia Nan University of Pharmacy and Science. Dr. Wu obtained her MD in 1998 and is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Biotechnology and Bioindustry Science at National Cheng Kung University. She is highly passionate about research focused on the protection and treatment of acute and chronic kidney disease.
