Since August, 2014 each of these recipients have invested nearly 30 hours in classroom training focusing on financial management and systems. Additionally, they have demonstrated content proficiency by passing end of course quizzes, completing a case study analysis of internal controls within their area of responsibility, and passing an end of course final exam. Throughout the certification process each has engaged in classroom discussions, provided a presentation about their department, and built relationships by networking with other financial leaders across Duke. By receiving this certification each has demonstrated their commitment to being a fiscal leader within their department.
