Barbara Phillips

Barbara C. Phillips, APRN, GNP, FNP-BC, FAANP, is the founder and owner of Nurse Practitioner Business Owner (NPBO™), an organization she has led since 2007 to help nurse practitioners successfully start, operate, and grow independent practices. A nurse practitioner, entrepreneur, educator, and nationally recognized speaker, Barbara is passionate about equipping NPs with the business knowledge and practical tools they need to build sustainable, patient-centered practices.

In addition to leading NPBO, Barbara has served the nurse practitioner profession through teaching, mentoring, consulting, and leadership development. She has been actively involved with the Duke–Johnson & Johnson Nurse Practitioner Entrepreneur Program since its inaugural cohort as a faculty member and project coach, and previously served on the Duke-Johnson & Johnson Nurse Leadership Program Advisory Board for several years. As a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP), Barbara is committed to advancing the profession by helping nurse practitioners confidently pursue independent practice ownership.

 

 

PAM MAXSON

Pam Maxson, PhD, MCC is a Master Certified executive and leadership coach, trainer/facilitator, Chief of Staff and Strategy, and author. Pam has coached hundreds of health care practitioners and partners with them to think creatively, lead, and motivate and encourage others to thrive personally and professionally. In addition to coaching, Pam has taught at Duke University for almost 30 years and worked in organizational and administrative leadership for over 15 years. Pam is the founder of Periscope Coaching, where clients use a new lens to lead and live.
