Scope

Photon–based nuclear science and applications is a rapidly evolving being driven by worldwide development of ultrahigh intensity lasers and brilliant quasi–monochromatic gamma beam systems.  Nuclear Photonics 2023 will bring together leading scientists from around the world who are conducting research in the development and use of ultrahigh intensity lasers and gamma beam systems in nuclear physics and applications. The conference scientific program is optimized for interdisciplinary discussions and exchange of ideas that stimulate collaborations.

The topics at the Nuclear Photonics 2023 will include:

  • Fundamental nuclear science and spectroscopy
  • Laser–plasma nuclear physics
  • High intensity laser–plasma interaction
  • Nuclear medicine including radiography and radiotherapy
  • Industrial non-destructive material imaging and evaluation
  • Isotope-specific, nuclear materials detection and management
  • Photon-based hadron beams and applications
  • Photon-based production of rare isotopes
  • Photon-enabled pulsed neutron generation and science
  • Photon-enabled pulsed positron generation and science
  • Nuclear astrophysics and cosmology
  • Gamma-ray science above the giant dipole resonance
  • Strong field QED

The Nuclear Photonics 2023 program will consist of four types of presentations

  • Keynote presentations
  • Invited talks (selected from the submitted abstract)
  • Contributed oral presentations (selected from the submitted abstract)
  • Poster presentations (selected from the submitted abstracts) – The poster presentation session will be held during the second evening of the conference. Refreshments will be served during the session. Posters presented by students will be reviewed by judges for the “Best Poster” awards.
