ST. TULA’S BLESSINGS
Film Screening April 4 at 4:00PM
Rubenstein Arts Center Film Theater

St. Tula’s Blessings is a collection of five short films—Worm Church, Personality Changes, Benny, If a Tree Falls in the Forest, and Soda Fountain (香槟塔). Each film lives in the space between fiction and non-fiction. Often, the most important elements of a story cannot be caught on camera. Drawing becomes a way to register thoughts, feelings, dreams, and experiences that would otherwise have no physical record. When these animations are sandwiched between live action footage, conventional definitions of documentary begin to soften. St. Tula’s blessing allows us to follow a story beyond what can be verified and accept sincerity as its own form of truth.
