The Work Behind the Wonder is an observational style film which explores the tedious, repetitive, and hard work that goes into running a flower business. While most people only see the beautiful end product when purchasing flowers at the store, this film aims to highlight the care and labor that is invisible and often unseen by the public eye.
Artist Biography
Christopher Verstandig (b. 2000) is a filmmaker who grew up working and spending most of his summer days at his family’s greenhouse and flower shop in upstate New York. It is here, where he began to develop his love for capturing personal experiences, traditions, and memories – the basis for most of his work today.
