More of Everything is an ongoing exploration of the artist’s recently discovered biological grandfather, Harvey Karman. Harvey was a fierce advocate for women’s rights as well as an integral part of the underground abortion movement in 1960’s Los Angeles. At the same time, Harvey was introduced to doctors at the forefront of the emerging fertility field where he gave women, such as the artist’s grandmother, the option of motherhood they would not have otherwise had. Through the process of unearthing Harveys personal archive, Natasha has come to know a version of her grandfather that reveals a shared likeness just below the surface, as images and words created nearly 70 years apart are now brought together. In More of Everything, three generations that never existed as one are presented here in three parallel narratives that intersect to create an imaginative union.
