M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Duke University
My academic interests center on robotics, control systems, and intelligent automation. I hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Science and Systems Engineering from Ritsumeikan University, where I was awarded the Saionji Memorial Scholarship for academic excellence.
My technical strengths lie at the intersection of mechanical systems, embedded electronics, and data-driven algorithms. I am experienced in designing and implementing control architectures for robotic systems, integrating multi-modal sensors, and developing reliable real-time software using Python, C/C++, and MATLAB. I work comfortably within ROS/ROS2, simulation environments such as Gazebo, and hardware prototyping workflows involving 3D printing, CAD, silicone fabrication, and custom electronics.
I am also deeply interested in how machine learning can support perception, decision-making, and safety in robotic systems. My background in data modeling, TensorFlow/Keras, and classical ML allows me to blend analytical tools with physical system design to create more adaptive and robust robotic behavior.
