December 22, 2017: Kangnan, Xinxin, and Luke’s paper on enantioselective Cu-catalyzed reductive coupling of azadienes and ketones was accepted to JACS.  Congratulations!

November 20, 2017: Steve received a 2018 Thieme Chemistry Journal Award. Congrats!

November 8-11, 2017: Steve was invited to present a talk at the ‘Advances in Organic Chemistry’ Symposium and Paige also contributed a talk at SERMACS in Charlotte.

October 18-20, 2017: Steve was invited to present a talk at the ‘Organic Synthesis and Catalysis’ Symposium of the ACS Midwest Regional Meeting in Lawrence, KS.

August 20-24, 2017: Steve presented a talk at the 254th National ACS Meeting in Washington, D.C

August 8, 2017: The Malcolmson lab received an NIH R01 grant to support our umpolung synthesis of chiral amines methodology studies!

July 23-28, 2017: Steve presented a poster at the Organic Reactions & Processes GRC at Stonehill College

July 25, 2017: Kangnan, Allie, and Luke’s paper on preparing 1,3-diamines stereoselectively by azaallyl anion/aziridine coupling was accepted to Org. Lett.  Congratulations!

June 18-23, 2017: Steve presented a poster at the Heterocyclic Compounds GRC at Salve Regina University.

June 20, 2017: Paige and Allie’s paper on stereoselective coupling of azaallyl anions and epoxides to make 1,3-amino alcohols was accepted to Org. Lett.  Congratulations, Paige and Allie!

June 9, 2017: Ethan Hull defends his master’s degree dissertation. Congrats on your hard work, Ethan.

June 6, 2017: Gus’s paper on studying the structural requirements for effective diazirine hyperpolarization by SABRE-SHEATH and the potential for diazirines to serve as general molecular tags was accepted to Angew. Chem. as a Very Important Paper.  The paper will be featured on the journal cover. Congratulations Gus!

May 2017- Katie Wilbur is awarded a fellowship from the Duke chemistry department to conduct summer research. Congratulations Katie!

April 28, 2017- Nathan and Ethan’s paper on Pd-catalyzed enantioselective hydroamination of dienes was accepted to JACS.  Congrats to Nathan and Ethan!

April 26, 2017 –Gus’s paper on direct hyperpolarization by SABRE-SHEATH in water was accepted to JACS.  Congrats to Gus!

April 2017- Nathan passes his prelim exam! He is now a Ph.D. candidate. Nice work, Nathan!

March 2017- Allie successfully defended her master’s degree dissertation! Nice work!

March 2017- Allie is awarded the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship! Congrats!

March 2017- Postdocs XinXin Shao and Sangjune Park join Malcolmson lab!

February 2017- Hope and Luke are awarded URS study grants!

February 2017- Gus’s paper is published in J. Phys. Chem. Congrats!
