Annie Meng

Co-President, annie.meng@duke.edu

Hi, I’m Annie Meng! I was born in Shenzhen, China and currently call Atlanta, GA home. Before coming to Fuqua, I worked as a civil engineer, and transitioning into the business world wasn’t always easy. AWIB played a huge role in helping me build confidence, find mentorship, and navigate the journey. It’s truly an honor to now serve as Co-President alongside Meghana, who I first met through a women’s pre-MBA program. (Fun fact: we’re both proud Section 5ers!)
Outside of school, you can usually find me hosting board game nights, organizing community hangouts, or deep in planning mode for my Dungeons & Dragons campaign as a new Dungeon Master! Anime helps me relax, and I love anything that brings people together: a game, a good story, or a shared goal.

Meghana Madala

Co-President, meghana.madala@duke.edu

Hi, I’m Meghana Madala! I was born in Guntur, India and now call Durham, NC home. Before Fuqua, I worked as a mechanical engineer in the automotive industry, where I spent a lot of time making sure cars followed the rules – think emissions compliance, but way less glamorous than Fast & Furious.
AWIB has been a big part of my Fuqua experience, giving me the community, mentorship, and laughter I needed while figuring out my next step. I’m incredibly excited to serve as Co-President alongside Annie, who somehow convinced me to run for president with her.
Outside of school, you’ll usually find me cracking jokes (really bad ones) with friends or being horizontal in my bed doom scrolling.

A Letter from Our Co-Presidents

Our vision this year is to create spaces where women feel empowered, supported, and celebrated. That means strengthening our mentorship programs, bringing in inspiring speakers, building connections across clubs and industries, and, of course, making sure there’s plenty of room for fun and friendship along the way.
Working as Co-Presidents has already been an adventure (yes, some of Meghana’s best decisions may have been influenced by Annie’s promise of Costco runs). But what keeps us both motivated is the energy, creativity, and passion of this community.
We can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish together. Here’s to a year of bold ideas, shared laughter, and collective success.
Best,
Meghana & Annie
