Our Mentors – Duke Engineering Graduate Ambassadors

We have a diverse group of mentors ready to offer their unique insight on applying for graduate school, choosing the right lab, and life as a graduate student.

Our mentors come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Throughout our group, we have mentors that:

–> speak the following languages: Mandarin Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Bengali, Farsi/Persian, Turkish, Tamil, Hindi

–> have started graduate school directly from undergrad, after obtaining a Master’s degree, or after working in industry

–> are first generation college students

–> are first generation graduate students

–> are both allies and members of the LGBTQ+ community

–> are international students from various countries around the globe

–> have served in the military

MS – Master of Science

MEng – Master of Engineering

MD – Medical Doctor

Mentors’ individual research interests are included as well as their program. PhD students with (MS) are current PhD students that earned a master’s degree prior to starting their PhD.
