Monday, January 12

Durham Rescue Mission is Durham’s oldest and largest long-term homeless shelter. Serve up smiles and dish out hope by volunteering to serve dinner at their Men’s Campus. Your presence not only fills bellies but also lifts spirits and comforts those in need. Let’s come together to serve with love and compassion.

Volunteer responsibilities vary depending on warehouse needs and can include sorting/bagging fresh produce, sorting through retail and food drive donations, boxing supplemental senior boxes, labeling products, etc.

Briggs Avenue Community Garden

Briggs Avenue Community Garden’s purpose is to provide an urban garden for Durham families to affordably grow healthy food, learn about sustainable agriculture, conserve pollinators, build community, and increase food security. The Garden engages citizens of all ages providing free hands-on agriculture education, recreation, and fellowship in a low-stress, supportive environment. We seek to empower citizens with access to agriculture information and production

Meals on Wheels – Special Produce Delivery

Deliver hot and frozen meals to seniors in Durham. We have delivery routes throughout the county. You can deliver by yourself, with a friend, or with a group.
