Duke Military Association

Duke is committed to promoting a more diverse, engaged, and inclusive workplace for everyone by fostering an environment of “belonging”. Important steps to inclusiveness include connecting with others, building and sustaining trust, and being receptive to other’s opinions. Our Duke Military Association is designed to do that by connecting with team members across the organization.

Duke Military Association is an employee-led voluntary group that offers the opportunity to network internally, attract and retain veteran talent, provide military-based educational opportunities, and create opportunities to support community outreach activities.

A core focus of the group includes enhancing Duke ‘s awareness of employees who are veterans and Families of veterans and recognizing the unique experiences and backgrounds they bring to Duke. This will include appropriate military ceremonies and the Association’s involvement in events across Duke . Additionally, the Military Association strives to bring together our internal veteran community to enhance inter-company support for our employees while also engaging with our local communities in outreach activities. We are committed to recruiting, developing, mentoring and retaining top talent, and look to the veteran community as a source for recruitment activity.
