NIH Funding Minority Health and Health Disparities Research (due June 23)

The NIH’s National Institute of Minority Health and Health Disparities Pathway to Independence Award (K99/R00) will support independent investigators conducting minority health and health disparities research. This program will facilitate a timely transition of outstanding postdoctoral researchers from mentored, postdoctoral research positions to independent, tenure-track or equivalent faculty positions, and to provide independent NIH research support during the transition that will help these individuals launch competitive, independent research careers. The NIH will commit up to $500,000 to fund five awards. Applications are due by June 23. Read the full announcement.
