Jennifer Gierisch, PhD, was a co-author of a major new systematic review and meta-analysis examining associations between smoking and acute pancreatitis. The analysis of 12 studies found that, compared to non-smokers, smokers have a significantly increased risk for both acute and recurrent AP.
