Division Faculty Shine at SGIM

Congratulations to all the division faculty who attended and participated in this year’s Society of General Internal Medicine annual meeting this week. Sixteen division faculty attended this year’s conference in Toronto, which had nearly 2,000 participants. Division faculty led symposia, gave workshops and oral abstract presentations, and interacted with other national leaders in internal medicine.

“We had a major presence at the meeting,” said Division Chief  L. Ebony Boulware, MD, MPH. “Our faculty and trainees presented outstanding work and really added to the high quality of the meeting. It is so wonderful to see Duke GIM leaders on the national stage.”

In addition to many other accomplishments, this year’s conference highlighted the division’s growing Twitter presence. The 544 people Tweeting using the #SGIM15 hashtag, included many several division faculty as well as the division’s own official @duke_gim, which was one of the top 10 posting at the conference (thanks to our own Martha Adams, MD, who tirelessly posted updates, news, schedules and other efforts throughout the meeting).
