The next meeting of the Department of Medicine Book Club will be held on Monday, June 22, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Searle Center Faculty Lounge. This time the club will discuss The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, a book that has won enormous praise, both from book critics and several members of our own faculty. This book addresses important, timely topics in modern medicine including research ethics and disparities in care among racial and socioeconomic groups. Food and wine will be provided.
