Discussion on the Intersection of Law, Finance, and Innovation with Prof Lee Reiners from Duke Law
What: ESU is excited to host Prof Lee Reiners from Duke Law to initiate a discussion about the intersection of law, finance, and innovation and talk about his experiences of working at the NY Fed and academia.
Who: Prof Reiners is the Executive Director of the Global Financial Markets Center and teaches FinTech Law and Policy seminars relating to financial policy and regulatory practice at the law school. He is the Editor-at-Large of the FinReg Blog and leads the Bass Connections American Predatory Lending (APL). His work has examined the risks associated with cryptocurrency derivatives, the rise of digital investment advice, and corporate governance failures within the financial industry.

Goldman Sachs Going Public with NYU’s Prof Levine
What: Professor Jeremy Levine will analyze the history and rise of Goldman Sachs from the privately held bank it was for over a century to when it became publicly traded in 1999 and what that has meant not only for the company itself, but also for the investment banking industry and global economy as whole. Professor Levine is an Adjunct Professor at multiple universities in New York and New Jersey, including NYU, Pace University, and The College of New Jersey where he teaches economics and international business courses.
