Mathematics in Action (MiA2021): Modeling and analysis in molecular biology and electrophysiology

The rapidly growing interactions between biology and mathematics have played important roles in quantitatively understanding the functions of biological systems and create exciting opportunities for new mathematical models, analysis, and simulation techniques. In this workshop, we invite scientists in cross-disciplinary areas including biochemistry, biophysics, applied mathematics, data science, and scientific computing to report and discuss recent advances and challenges on bio-molecular systems and electrophysiology, to exchange and share ideas and experiences on current research issues, and to foster future collaborations. This workshop will focus on the biology of molecular to subcellular scales and their mathematics. Topics include physics-based mathematical models and experimental results for specific biological systems; and mathematical analysis techniques and numerical simulation tools.
The workshop will be host at Duke Kunshan University, Kunshan from 10-13Th June.
